At approximately 6-7 months of age, with the baby becoming familiar with the location of Pacifier Place in the crib and its function, he/she can begin to use it independently to locate pacifiers during sleeping hours. Pacifier Place was designed to help promote fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and independence. When the baby learns to use Pacifier Place independently, the caregiver is not called upon and therefore has less interrupted work/sleep time.
